Rock the Vote arrangements for media
A media plan has been developed for the Oct. 11 Rock the Vote concert hosted by Wake Forest University at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The doors will open to the media at 4:30 p.m. Parking will be available in the public lots around the coliseum. Parking will cost $5. The media should enter the coliseum through the Administrative Offices door on the far right side of the building. Press identification and photo identification will be required to enter the coliseum. Rock the Vote will issue special press passes on-site for the concert. Passes will not be available for pick-up before 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 11.
The doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. Rock band Hootie and the Blowfish, rap artist Rah Digga and alternative singer Daniel Cage will perform beginning at 7 p.m. The concert will be interrupted for a live broadcast of the presidential debate happening in Wait Chapel on the university campus from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The concert will resume after the debate.
Directions to the coliseum are available at http://debate.wfu.edu/rockthevote.html.
